June 7 - Baptisms
idea: celebrating life change
June 14 - Communion/Confession
idea: sometimes we just need to take a long hard look inside
current ideas: candles, mirrors
June 21 - Father's Day
idea: celebrate fathers, challenge to take the lead on faith
June 28 - Making the Most of Summer (Honoring God with Summer)
idea:
- laugh a lot and enjoy time and family
- get to know someone who needs to know God
- follow close and look for God

ReplyDeleteDrama focusing on missed opportunities with kids...just a thought. I can flush that out if necessary, but would have to get on it ASAP.
For confession, I remember someone talking about "Post Secret", could we somehow do something similar?
ReplyDeleteFather's day, I love the idea of challenging fathers to take the lead on faith in their homes, could we do a quick video montage of kiddos in kids street telling dad they love him, or telling a little story?
Making the most of summer: Summer is a time of refreshing and renewal for many families. What if we take time to celebrate w/ each other and for each other. Not quite sure what this looks like, but I think we are moving to a place where we can be a little more personal w/ people in the church.
Also, Remy will be one year seizure free on Wednesday!
We should have someone grilling burgers and hot dogs off to the side of the stage. Nothing says summer like the smell of meat. Maybe we could get a dirty hot dog stand!
