Series Idea: if we could learn to hear and see God in the moments we have, it could change our lives.

Week 1: God speaking in the Moment
idea: - often life's going so fast that we miss what God's trying to say

Week 2: Listening in the Moment
idea: - how do we learn to hear and see God in the moments we have
creative direction:
possibly trying to create a response moment at the end of service with a song about wanting to hear God more
Stand Alone Week Title: Unforgiven
idea: learning to forgive each other, through divorce, pain, loss, etc.

I know you're too young to remember this song, Andrew...but...how about Rare Earth's " I Just Want To Celebrate " ??
ReplyDeleteI like week 2 idea...what about an extended quiet moment...total silence...almost uncomfortably long...with some guiding questions we can ask God in our silent prayers...What do you want of me? What purpose do you have for me? How do you want me to handle the situation I am in? Who do I need to talk to or spend time with? How can I serve you this week? They can choose the question they feel God is leading them to and spend the quiet time just listening. Just a thought.
